Rulings: -If the action on the item spends, stuns, or readies the item, then it remains in that orientation. -If the item leaves play, it is returned to its owner's hand, deck, discard pile, etc. -Actions that put a character directly into play implicitly grant control of the character to the acting player. Thus, using Gimme That on a Figurine will grant you control of the resulting character. The same is true of using Gimme That on Binder's Staff.
